Digsby is an instant messenger (IM) programs as well as Pidgin or Nimbuzz. Digsby supports AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber, and Facebook Chat Accounts. As a multiple accounts Instant Messaging program, Digsby features tabbed conversation windows. Through this feature you can manage multiple conversations and drag tabs out into their own windows for important conversations.
Through Digsby, you can also manage your Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL / AIM Mail, IMAP, and POP accounts. You will get popup notifications when new mail arrives. Clicking a popup takes you right to the message with auto-login into webmail accounts. In addition, you will also get a snapshot of your unread messages with just one click, via InfoBox feature.
As a social networking software, Digsby has supported Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn accounts. You will Receive alerts of events such as new friend requests, messages, group invites, etc. The social network InfoBox gives you a real time NewsFeed of what your friends are up to. Everything from new photos, to status updates, to upcoming birthdays is just a click away. And you can set your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn status right from Digsby.
Currently, Digsby only be used on Windows OS, Mac OS and Linux are still in the process.
